8.11. 2nd prize to Unicka The most numerous field trials awarded dog of U-litter, Puronperän Unicka, started in the open stake on Åberaa, Denmark. She worked very well and awarded with quality prize ÅK 2 (second prize in the open stake). Unicka's style was on the very high class, but there was a little mistake in the bird situation. In the same field trial Lorenz's daughter Henriette get 1st prize (ÅK 1) to Vajskær Balic! Balic is full brother for Ä-litter's father Abidal, but 15 month younger. Congratulations to family Clemmesen! 1.11. Field trial quality prize to Jalo Y-litter's Puronperän Yaffa, "Jalo", and Pekka started in field trials at Nivala. Quality prize has been very close a few times. At this time they succeeded and Jalo get his first quality prize in the novice stake! Awesome! Congratulations to Jalo and Pekka! 21.9. Voltti 5th in the Gold Cup! The Finnish championships for young pointing dogs, Gold Cup (Kultamalja) and Derby finals was held on Sunday 21.9. in Lapua fields as usual. On the Friday's and Saturday's qualifications were started many offspring from kennel Puronperän. The dogs and their handlers were a quite good and many dogs continued to afternoon and almost to finals. At last to Sunday's finals continued V-litter's Voltti (Gold Cup) and U-litter's Unelma alias Elma. They were only gordon setters in the finals. What a great success! On the final day Elma was a little bit tired of Saturday's qualification and not managed to continue afternoon's "final's final" within 6 best dogs. Anyway she is very good work on the qualification also and it was great to get quality prize on the qualifications! Voltti and his owner & handler Esa almost flamed in the final! Esa was cool, but Voltti went on the top speed in his search. The judge Matti Juuti said many pleasant words of his work and he continued to "final's final". On the afternoon Voltti was a little bit tired, but at the end the judge placed him to the fifth place on the Gold Cup 2014! Wow! It's amazing to see year after year many dogs from my kennel on the Gold Cup and Derby start lists. It's wonderful to see and feel that great atmosphere, ... and great feel of success! Congratulation to Voltti and Esa of the great placement! Elma and Pasi - great success again!

5.8. Vilma HD free Vilma's (alias "Vipsu") official results came from the Finnish Kennel Club: HD A/A and elbow 0/0 - the best possible results! She is the second one of the V-litter getting x-ray results. Both dogs are HD  and ED free. First health results of the V-litter have been very good. Also first dog show and field trial results have been very promising... 2.8. Success in the dog shows On this summer many our breedings have been in dog show for getting result. Here in Finland dog have to have an official dog show result if the owner likes to start in a hunting trials. Especially dogs from V- and Y-litters have started in the shows. In the international Sawo-show Velho started his show carrieer very well: the result was in the junior class very good and first in the competition class. The judge was Zilnik Zeljko. On the next day was the special show of the official breed club in Finland, Kanakoirakerho- Hönshundssektionen, in the Kiiminki. In this show participated Vito & Olli-Matti, Yoda & Samu, Unski & Niina, Oodi & Miia and Raidi & Päivi. The judge was Erja Nummi. In the male junior class youngster Vito get the good judgement and result: very good and 3rd in the competition class. Yoda get wonderful very good in the young dog class and was first in the competition class. Unski get very good in the open class and was third. In the bitches' open class Oodi get very good and Raidi good. Puronperän kennel's breeding group was the BOB breeding group with HP! In the group there were three males and one bitch: Vito, Yoda, Unski and Oodi. Our group get the good judgement and evaluated better thand other groups in the breed. 27.7. Puppy meeting & training camp Kennel Puronperän's annual "puppy meeting" and "training camp" was held on the last weekend in July 25.-27.7., like many years earlier. During two previous weeks some dogs and owners have already visited on our house and have some training. On this year participates were mainly dogs and owners of Y- and V-litters, but there were also one dog of S-litter (and my own dogs from N-, R-, S- and V-litters). All the dogs were quite young, but they worked amazing well with the birds. We are expecting a lot of next fall and hunting season!! Thanks to all participates - it was great to be together again!

11.6. Valtteri HD-free Valtteri's official results came from the Finnish Kennel Club: HD B/B and elbow 0/0 - fine results! Valtteri is the first one of the V-litter getting x-ray results. First health results of the V-litter have been very promising. 24.5. reserve-CAC to Unski Niina and Unski have been training during spring for dog shows. After this Unski started first time in all breeds show in Järvenpää. Unski's ring-craft was excellent and he got very good critique. In quality judgement prize was excellent and CAC quality. In competition he got 1st prize in open class, 2nd best male and reserve-CAC! Great result! The judge was well known Erik Petersen from Denmark. Congratulations to Unski and Niina!

9.5. Ä-litter Earnestly waited Ä-litter was born as expected. Tatti done great work as usual and was very calm during the birth. There are 4 males and 2 females in this litter. One of the boys is "classical" coloured gordon setter - white based. All the puppies are very lively and weight have already rised. Everything seems to be just great! Some photos of the birth

7.5. Elma get hip and elbow dysplasia results U-litter's Unelma, "Elma" get official hip and elbow dysplasia results: HD A/A and ED 0/0 - so the best possible results!. 14 of Tatti's offspring has been HD tested (63,6 %): 9 puppies A/A (64,3 %), 3 puppies A/B or B/A (21,4 %), 1 dog B/B (7,1 %) and 1 dog B/C (7,1 %). 5 offspring has been ED tested and all has got the best possible result: 0/0! 3.5. Vihtori young class retrieving champion  The Finnish Gordon Setter Section's annual spring meeting was hold on ilmajoki 2.-4.5. There was great success on this meeting this year because of very good program - thanks to our breed section's president Jarkko - the owner of successful KM-13 Puronperän Ukkoonen, "Viggo". On the Saturday there was club's retrieving championships (breed's champion). In the young dog's class in his very first start started Puronperän Vihtori. He has done very good works earlier and we expected a lot of this competition. Vihtori done work as usual and he continued to the first position! Rico did great work once again and get bronze. Elma also continued to the semifinals, but not to the podium at this time. Congratulations of great success to Vihtori and Rico - and also to the owners!

27.4. Vattu and Myrtti field trial awarded Puronperän Villivadelma, "Vattu", and Puronperän Yrtti, "Myrtti", started on the field trials in the end of April 25th and 27th. These were winter mountain trials on the Arjeplogfjällen mountains in Sweden nearby Norwegian border. In her very first field trial start Vattu made three points and works to willow grouses (willow ptarmigan). She managed very well with the birds and get result UKL 2 (2nd prize on the novice class?). There came such a lot minus points in the first heat that she wasn't able to get the highest prize. Myrtti managed also well in her two starts. In the first day she get three points, but in the first two ones judge didn't reach to see the points before shy birds were on their wings. The third one was in the end of the day and so far away up to the mountain that the judge said he wouldn't go there... On the second day Myrtti did a quite good point and work to the single ptarmigan male (rock ptarmigan). There came also such a minuses that the result was UKL 3 (third prize on the novice class?) in the soft snow conditions. Anyway, great starts to these two young talented dogs! Congratulations to Vattu and Myrtti - I´m sure that much more are coming!

4.4. Ultrascan It's four weeks after mating now and it's able to see the foetuses in a ultrascan. I've already seen some marks of pregnancy, but it was time to check out the situation. My veterinary Ansa saw some foetuses in the ultrascan. Not the biggest litter, but some puppies at all. I guessed that this litter will be not as big as earliers because of Tatti's age. I was happy of the information; the long mating trip was succeeded and I can wait in calm mind birth of Ä-litter coming after five weeks.

30.3. Elma - the best open class dog on the Finland's mountain trials Lappland's pointing dog club (Lapin kanakoirakerho) organized their traditional mountain trials in Karigasniemi (Utsjoki) on the last weekend of March. There was starting also Puronperän Unelma alias "Elma". Elma has her very first starts in the open class. Her trial year started very fine: she get the cup given to the best open class dog of the trials! Congratulations to Elma and Pasi - magnificent start in a open class!

25.3. Winner class 3rd prize with HP to Abidal Becoming Ä-litter's father Vajskær Abidal took a part international field trial's winner class in Terkelsbøl. The competition was great success again: at the end of the day Abidal was third (3.VK) with the honorary prize. Congratulations to Abidal and Robert of the great result and success! PS. Beckham's son - Abidal's and U-litter's half brother - Åens Shackleton get 1. UK (first prize in the novice stake/young dog class) in 23.3. Læsø.

22.3. Unicka to Derby final in Denmark! In her huge spring field trial season Puronperän Unicka continued to Danish Derby final. She get 1. UK / 1B (1st prize in the novise stake?) in the qualification and contunued to final within 16 best dogs as only gordon setter. At the end Unicka wasn't in the five best dogs, but this was a great success! Congratulations to Unicka and Lorenz! You two have a season in a lifetime! All the results

20.3. 1. Excellent to Tiia Puronperän Tiia was started on the first field trials on this year. On Lidija's own words: "Hi Jukka, send you best wiches - we are in france now for training and competitons. Last weekend we participated in a big competition with nearly 100 dogs every day. It has been there: 3 groups with field trial couple (in every group 24 dogs) and 2 groups for field trial solo with 11 dogs in every group. Tiia made her's debut ... in Field Trial solo ... she got a 1. Excellent (and won this group)! YEAH! This is a big result, because it's very difficult in France to point partridges... the fields are very big, the partridges are very shy and the dogs has to have a very good nose and need experience too... and I have not so much possibilites to prepare the dogs on this special conditions here. Nevertheless Tiia made two (!!!) phantastic points on partridges... unfortunaly the conditions has not been good: the field has not be green, it has been a cultivated area, she was a little bit confused. We will rest next two weeks here. I hope, I could get more results with her. Please cross your fingers for us! I send you some pictures of Tiia made today in the green, green and wide fields of France - as you could see, the weather ist fine ... tomorrow we will get more than 20°C - too hot for working with the dogs. 15.3. KKK-HHS's annual award gala The gordon setter's official breed club of Finland, Kanakoirakerho- Hönshundssektionen, held it's annual award gala in Lapua 15.3. There was given prizes and diplomas achieved the breed club's field trials and competitions. There was among other things Usko Eevertti, Olga and Seita from our kennel. The real prize collector was ekipage Ukkoonen, "Viggo" and Jarkko. Viggo get "The Gold Cup" and the titels "The Gordon Setter of the Year" and "The Young Gordon Setter of the Year". Jarkko get also the Nynäs cup, given to sportsman and gentleman handling his dog in trials. I get also a diploma and the most important of all: the Breeder's Cup of the Gold Cup winner! This was second time for a gordon setter breeder and this competition has organized since 1948... Congratulations to all prized Puronperän dogs and their owners Especially to Viggo, Katja, Sara and Jarkko!

11.3. Ä-litter on the way Tatti's heat started in the beginning of March. The heat started a little bit earlier than expected. There was one other bitch on her heat in the house and perhaps this helped a little bit. We visited in Denmark and Vajskær Abidal coupled with Tatti some times on 6.-9.3. without any problems. Puppies will born in the beginning of May. It was really wonderful to met Abidal, Stina and Robert with their family. We get a very warm welcome, treat and lodging. Time flies when we told "dog stories" and meet each other. The breeding with Abidal was succesful. I'll really hope there is heathy and big litter coming after a long journey. 10.3. Two young class 1st prizes to Unicka! Puronperän Unicka was started in the field trials in Denmark very last time in the young dog class 8.-9.3 - she was born 11.3. and in the rules limit for the young dog class is 24 months. Both trials in Bramming (Uge) and Kolding was successful: Unicka and Lorenz get 1.UK prizes (1st prize in young dogs class - novice stake?). Congratulations to Unicka and Lorenz of the first prizes!

22.2. Myrtti and Vattu on dog show Myrtti and Vattu were first time on the dog show. Both dogs get very fine judgements and results: very good! This was just great! We have to remember that these dogs are only eleven and twelve months old. Very firsts results from dogs shows have been great for V- and Y-litters!

19.2. Sara's HD-result Also Sara get official hip dysplasia result: HD B/B! Just great! All is fine for autumn's field trial starts: this dogs goes well and works great with the birds... 4.2. Unski get hip and elbow dysplasia results Also U-litter's Unski get official hip and elbow dysplasia results: HD B/C and ED 0/0. 13 of Tatti's offspring has been HD tested (59,1 %): 8 puppies A/A (61,5 %), 3 puppies A/B or B/A (23,1 %), 1 dog B/B (7,7 %) and 1 dog B/C (7,7 %). 4 offspring has been ED tested and all has got the best possible result: 0/0! 23.1. Unicka and Viggo are HD free First ones of U-litter has been on hip dysplasia x-ray. At last the results came:Unicka A/A and Viggo B/B. Wonderful! Viggo's elbow result was 0/0. This is the best possible!  Two Beckham's offspring get result same time as Unicka: Vajskær Abidal A/A and Vajskær Balic A/A (mother of both of these dogs is Rana).

9.1. All tested Puronperän dogs are CCA-clear I have gotten results about CCA dna-tests of Tatti, Seita and Vattu. The results came today and all were genetic CCA-free (clear). This is fantastic! Becoming litter of Tatti can't get PRA or CCA deseases. Even the dogs on O-, R- and U-litters can't get these recessive diseases. All titels to kennel Puronperän Our breed club Kanakoirakerho-Hönshundssektionen has been published gordon setter titels 2013. All came to kennel Puronperän! The gordon setter of the year 2013 and the young gordon setter of the year 2013 was the Gold Bowl winner KM-13 Puronperän Ukkoonen, "Viggo". The breeder of the year -titel came to kennel Puronperän with record point score of our breed club's history! Thank you for all dogs and owners started and participated in field trials!
